Dear Members,

Thank you for all the enthusiastic participations, we had quite a competitiion this year! Here I want to congrats Johnny Huang for winning 1st place (and $200 cash ^^), Jia Zhou for 2nd ($100) , and Jonathan Chow for 3rd place ($50) as well as the best on stage award. We truely hope everyone had fun and enjoyed this event. For those who think they didn’t do well in the contest, just remember to keep on singing! Opportunities are always available at CSA’s KTV Contest each semester. Again, thank you all for coming. **********HKSA’s Annual Singing Contest**********

The HKSA annual singing contest is finally here!!! Any one of you can join and winners will have cash prizes PLUS you could get into the Joint-U Singing Contest organized with UCLA, UC Irvine, UC San Diego and UC Cal Poly! Show us what you got guys!
Not only will the top 3 be able to represent USC in the Annual California Singing Contest, there will also be CASH PRIZES!!!

Date: Sat 3/31
Time: 4-7pm
Place: USC Ground Zero
There are no fees required from contestants and spectators!

Instructions for application-
Send us an email (hksa@usc.edu) confirming that you are joining the contest with the following information:

Name: First name, Last name
Song 1 (1st round): Artist, Song
Song 2 (2nd round): Artist, Song

Please provide the Karaoke version of your songs or the Karaoke MTV if you could find them. Attach them in your emails. If you have any problems looking for the songs, please let us know asap.

*PLEASE APPLY BEFORE MARCH 26th (Monday)
Please note that only HKSA members are eligible to enter the contest, but all spectators are welcome!

So far we’ve got more than 10 people signed up already, so hurry up signing up in order to secure your spot to win big prizes!

How to sign up:
We will have booth on Trousdale across from Tommy Trojan EVERYDAY this week from 11am to 2pm, so please take advantage of it to sign up.
If you cannot make it to our booth, you can also call Alex @ (408) 813-5970 or e-mail: event@usc.edu to sign up. Or you can even shoot me a facebook message, whatever suits you best.

Some more detailed information:
1. You can sing any songs in any language as long as they have it at the KTV (or you can bring in your own CD) our judges are from all different countries so please do not worry about their language preference.
2. We will choose 8 people to go to the 2nd round and sing one more song to decide the ranking.
3. All contestant get a free csa t-shirt
4. Spectators can just pay at the door
